Concours Vintage 911, here for the 997 passion
Here is the old and new center carpet, side by side. I certainly hope the difference is clear! Also, a pic of the new rear seat hinge pins. The light, bright one is the new one, OEM Porsche.

Here is where I am right now, and I've got to admit, I am fast losing steam on this project. The same malaise happened during some of the late, cold, lonely nights of the SC installation. I'm Just sort of over it, and want it to be done.
But the results are great, and I think that as much as the carpet it's the details: all the extra bits I've replaced (release pins, bolt caps) and repainted (joints, hinges) make the interior look and feel brand new.
Getting the center console back together, and in place is daunting- so many pieces. I'll have to use my Bentley's and plan it out. Not sure which harnesses go through the carpet vs. on the side of it. Any help would be appreciated, as it's in so many pieces right now.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Tonight, I managed to get the front console back together again, and laid all the pieces in place. I have to say, it looks terrific.
Still to do:
-adhere new door carpets, ugh...
-install new door seals
-install new door entry sills
-install new door entry guards
-lightly spot glue the floor carpet pieces into place
-order a nice set of overmats, maybe Berber in Dark Grey?
-eatherique redye front seats
-install front seats
Hope this has helped, or will help, someone along the way...I will post final pics in the next couple of days.

Can't wait to see the final showroom perfect product. Great job so far. The more time I spend on your thread, the more respect I have for the three previous owners of my 3.2 who have done a stellar job of keeping the original interior of the car in such pristine shape.
