Thumbs up Black Stone Guards and LED Rear Lights

Yesterday, my wife embarked on a little art project. We bought some matte black adhesive backed vinyl and made our own black stone guards. It was fun and the results ended up being much nicer than I expected. I'm sure this look will evoke opinions.

As for the pictured rear led lights, I'm one of the lucky test cars from the ROTtec group buy. BTW, no error codes. They look fabulous! The lights will really update any 997.1. Accolades to Ray for achieving a great result!

Outstanding! I not a fan of cosmetic mods but..Well done. Love the black wheels too. Is that front lip part of a kit or a factory piece?

The guards look pretty cool. Very old school 930 vibe. Nice work.

LEDs look nice as well. Just a little ride height adjustment and you're set.

The lip is carbon fibre and is from ROTtec. It really makes the front more complete.

Looks great - congratulations! The black headlight surrounds from the Sport Classic / GTS / Speedster would really complete the picture. Not sure how impossible they are to get though...

The black stone guard really work well with black wheels and CF from lip. Now you need more black or CF exterior pc. to dress it up! So let me know when you have time to check up the lights and try out other parts!

I love the stone guards. Did you replace the stock ones? Or simply put the black ones over them? I own a white Cayman S, and my stock ones have turned yellow, so I've been contemplating doing black like this.

Thank you,

Charles

It looks good. Which is a little surprising to me as I didn't think it would.

I kept the original stone guards on as i used them as my template. I adhered it to the original stone guard. Black stone guards will contrast very nicely with white.

Man, you owe your wife big time. Great look.
Just me, I'm not a fan of the black/silver lip wheels on the (modern) lighter color cars. But add the black stone guard, and it all comes together.
Very cool. Congrats.

Very retro. Add some of the new sport classic wheels, and you'll be right there with my '87 Coupe, from wence your look is derived...

Looks great

Just ordered a set myself and sent my wheels out to be refinished on black (matt like) so hoping it all works...

Your car looks great... I would ceramic coat your exhaust tips to really pull the rear in.... that said your car looks great, thanks for posting pics!
