Picked up Targa4S Today..

Hi All,

Picked up the Targa4s 2010 today. I must admit - its a stunning car and lines are just beautiful. I love the open air glass; it brings so much light into the cabin - very cool. I wish the dome would open up just a bit more; would be sweet!

I have never owned a 911 so I am totally new to this. It has been a long time passion of mine and hoping that this experience is just as amazing as I dreamed it would be. I have to admit that the dealer surprised me last minute today when they called and told me that the XM Radio I wanted to retrofit was not actually integrated with the PCM but rather an add-on. I figured I would try it and see what happens - go back to normal radio. I guess we never realize how much the little things matter - I totally missed it!

Pictures attached and more to come!

Uhn, I take pride in being the first to congratulate you on this beautifully stunning acquisition. Welcome to a lifelong addiction and may you safely enjoy the addiction in good health for years to come. When you have time this weekend we need to see some shots of your targa roof and interior.

Beautiful car. But you mean PDK, not Tip - or does Tip mean something else?

Thanks so much. I heard that owning a 911 is like wine, it just gets better and better! I will definitely post some good ones on the weekend.

And spacers.. how much would the wiper be? Would have been nice today in the snow and rain.

A wiper can be added to the rear? I wish I had one too - would be handy in the fog and rain. Seems like it would be a pricey upgrade and I wonder if the wiring is already in place? If so, I'd be very tempted...

Uhn - CONGRATULATIONS BUDDY!!!! GREAT PURCHASE!!!! I think you made the right decision going with the Targa 4S vs the CAB b/c let's be honest, in Toronto, the CAB would have been the worst in the winters. This is a FAIR compromise for the YEAR ROUND you'd be using the car. I hate having a garage queen. I try to take mine out as much as I can. As for the retrofit wiper, go for it. It could be a little pricey b/c remember, they also have to replace that "BONNET" if you will most likely (I know they would on my 9964S), not to mention install the switch (which should be pre-wired though). As for the spacers, a must, and you can get them from Suncoast or RSS (both 6speed sponsors). Get a vanity plate too for the car buddy as a treat to yourself like "MISTRES" or something. HAHAHAHA, wifey would have your head!!!! I'm guessing she's also in love with the car.

Well, I welcome you to the world of PCar buddy. I'm sure you drove her home last night like I did the first night I drove home my newborn son. Hazards on and not breaking 25 mph. HAHAHAHA
