997.1 Service Manuals

I'm looking for a set of service manuals for my recently aquired '06 C2S.

I've come across PorschePower@PlasticExperts.com offering a .pdf version of the manuals.

Has anyone purchased a manual set through them?

Are there other lower cost alternatives out there besides the dealer?

here's one for a 05 C2/S so it should be very close or identical to your 2006:

I know that this isn't the answer that you are looking for, but here is a link for the 996.

http://cannell.co.uk/Manuals.htm

I've used it many times for work that I was doing on my '06 997.
One day I hope they post the 997 links.

Also here is a link for parts:

The link to the auction you posted is not for a service manual. It is a small manual that gives some basic service information, statistics on the car, some technical specifications...but it is not a service manual.

I ordered a CD copy of the 997.1 service manual from PorschePower@PlasticExperts.com

I am highly impressed with what they sent me and the speed with which it arrived.

If you are in need of a service manual then e-mail these guys and they will hook you up.

Would you mind sharing the price?

It was $64.99 shipped. When I e-mailed them I got an auto-reply about pricing for a 944 service manual. I sent them another e-mail with "997.1 Service Manual" in the title and they replied with instructions on how to send payment through PayPal. I figured there was a better than even chance that I would never see anything for my payment...but four days later the CD showed up and I've got to say that I am impressed.

I'm a brand new P-car owner (long time wrench) and this manual covers any maintenance or repair job that I can see myself involved in. It covers many jobs that hopefully I'll never witness.

If you are technically minded then this is money well spent.

Is it maybe a Florida thing to get a response? Attempts only yield the autoresponder text which is non-helpful.

krysFly - guess your search terms are better than mine... I'm willing to pony up some cash for durable goods.

Hey akirasan - I got the same thing....after a couple of days, you should get a more detailed email with some sample pages. He doesn't seem to have 997.1 any longer...at least it's not in his list. Strange.
