I also drove the Targa4S in the snow (a little bit of it) and it was just so solid in every aspect. Thank you Porsche!

For all the talk about the weight penalty we 4 wheel drivetrain Carrrera owners endure .... Uhn2000, this is the time of the year to celebrate for the sacrifice we make. The car just sticks to the road like mozarella cheese to a hot iron skillet.

I live in Colorado. It's December 28th and we haven't had a flake of snow. I played golf today! Grrr. I'm ready for a little snow.

New Multi-plate awd

The 997.1 used a different engagement (viscose coupling) and you could feel the car begin to slip a bit prior to the awd pulling the car back. The new multi-plate clutch is much more transparent. The car simple doesn't 'seem' to slip. Additionally the system senses the surface quickly; snow vs ice is noticeable. I couldn't induce the 997.1 to slip into a doughnut spin where as the 997.2 is easy.

Same weather here for two days. Nice shirt sleeve golf days, damn it. But be careful what you ask for. The forecast for Wednesday here in California is full of drama, and by Thursday you should feel the whole good of it.

There's frost on cars here . It dipped into the mid 30's last night and the low 40's tonight with highs at about 60.

Local news has been showing the images of the snow .. no porsches though .
They interviewed a lot of folks from the northeast who are stuck here as the flights are cancelled .

The extended forecast shows upper 70's this week. I won't miss this cold weather . http://www.wsvn.com/weather/
