'07 997 Buying Question
Hi guys. Trying to decide between two 2007 997 4S Coupe.
1. CPO until 6/2012, 35K miles.
2. Not CPO, factory warranty until 9/2011, 14K miles.
The 2nd one is $3,000 more expensive. Both cars are same color, similar options, clean car fax and had two owners.
I am leaning towards 2nd one since it has lower miles, but not sure if it is worth $3,000 premium.
Want to hear your opinions...
Thanks in advance!

Are the cars identical otherwise? Colors, options?
If so, the extra miles on the first one wouldn't bother me too much. (provided it was in excellent condition still) Plus the CPO, and the $3k discount.
That's the route I'd go.

...the 2nd one, bite the bullet on the extra $3k, & add a plat. ext. warr. to 100k miles.

Number 2 . If the seller doesn't come down 1500 then walk from both.
These aren't the only Porsches in the world .

Definitely number 2. The cost of the 20k service versus the cost of the 40k service will make up half the difference! Also, factor in the rear tire wear, that's another$1k. Factory warranty for a year will help you sort out any issues. Good luck!
I'd take the one with lower miles. At these mileages I'm not worried about either, but I'd take lower miles. It's more 'new', after all. AND, ask them if they can certify #2. It adds probably $3000 to price but added security.
#2 it has low miles, and as long as you treat her right you should be alright, you have 9 month left, sometimes the dealer will give you a extra warranty from them as long as it under warranty already, and has been serviced by them, I would ask.....
Thanks all for reply. 2nd one is private owner. I am still trying nego the price, but owner won't budge. Is it possible to take the car to local Porsche dealer and get it certified? What is DME check?
