Help: interior night shots, and close-up shot of SportCrono
Hi, Board!
I'm an owner of some M cars (e90 M3 and e86 Z4MC) and my itch for the P car continues on! I've been dropping by P dealers to check out some cars and quite a cozy ****pit the 997 has. Maybe I'm weird, but I find the illuminated interior a quite happy place to be.
Anyways, I'm quite curious how the 997 interior looks at night. I'm debating whether to go with or without the sport crono. Can someone greatly help me out by taking some pictures of the interior at night please?
You can just email to me, if you prefer.
Thanks!!

Did you buy yours brand-new or pre-owned? Chances are it was programmed to stay on (eg: using Durametric).

From what I read on the Porsche site and the dealer, it doesn't anything too "cool", but I figure it's not a bad option to have for 700?
I was just picturing how it'd look, but can't beat actual pictures from owners! =)

The deal is that it is not only a stop watch, but also adds other functions to the car like 3 throttle maps (normal, sport, sport+), personal settings, interaction with PASM on S models, etc. For PDK, it also changes auto-shift patterns and is almost essential to enjoy PDK cars.
If you do not care for the dash stopwatch (not a clock), then you can add the software only options later - of course, at a higher cost than from the factory.
Don't get distracted by the watch - you probably won't use it and that's not really where the "meat" of that option comes in.
wow, it's really nothing at night.. =)

some call it "wart" but i think it's not bad looking on the dash at all.
i'll consider leaving it out..
thanks!!
Please skim take some time to do some real reading on what the Sport/Chrono does. The dealers are very bad at knowing the ins and outs of it. As steve pow said it is a must for PDK. At the basics it gives you faster shifts and launch control. For 6mt it does add a better throttle response map as well as a stiffer shock setting. both are nice to have, these are also on the PDK variant.
