It will take about 2 weeks.

Great idea joining. Get involved if you can with your local region.

I joined the PCA shortly after I bought my car, and it's been fantastic. My first experience was a track event, and we had to have a pre-tech inspection at a local dealership. A longtime PCA member inspected my car and said that I'd need to bleed the brakes unless I could come up with paperwork that showed they were done within the past year. The track day was 1 week away, and I wasn't sure if my pre-purchase paperwork would show a bleed or not. Without hesitation, the PCA member offered to have me come over to his house later that week, and show me how to bleed the brakes myself. It turned out that the brakes had already been done, but I will be taking him up on his offer in the spring!

At the actual event, I was assigned an instructor who sat in the passenger seat during my sessions, plugged me into a headset with him, and talked me through the lines. The whole event was well-run and safe, and made me realize what an incredible community and resource PCA is. It's nice to hang out with fellow Porsche owners who appreciate and understand these cars.

Plus, the publications you'll receive are worth it alone! Great airplane reading... Enjoy - you'll get a card in a few weeks.

I have been a PCA member for 5 years, and have met some really good people, and have done a lot of great events with them. Best Porsche accessory you can add.

Make sure you let your Porsche Service know - most (maybe all?) give a discount to PCA members.

I can send you the email address of the new members person at PCA. She expedited my membership registration so that I could register for an event right away.
