TPMS Compatibilty for 997.1 vs 997.2

I am looking to buy 2007 997.1 Turbo wheels with TPMS and was wondering if they are compatible with my 2009 C4S (997.2). I had heard that they are different.... Can anyone shed light on this.

I put sensors for a Gen 1 Caynan S on a Gen 2 and they worked, both were the same frequency. I know most will say they don't work but in my case they did.

If I have 2007 Turbo wheels with TPMS that I want to use on my 2009 C4S....I can keep the 2007 valve stems and just replace the modules with 2009 TPMS modules...right? Or should I buy new valve stems too?
