New fixed wing - error codes
#33
Is this connector from your new wire harness you bought? If your wing has no brake light, that is not the right harness for it. I doubt that the brake light on tje car was disconnected for a wing install..

Double check the part number for the harness you bought against the one listed above.

If you ordered the spare cable that was used for the install, you should have the part number to refer to and compare.
Good luck.

You are having the exact same issue I had when I first installed my wing. It's gotta be the cable.

I started my own thread and then found this one. I ordered the wrong wiring harness because there was some wrong info in another thred. heres to clarify:
If you have a fixed wing without a 3rd brake light you need: 997-612-670-71
If you have a wing WITH a 3rd brake light you need: 997 622 670 70
If you have a fixed wing without a 3rd brake light you need: 997-612-670-71

This is the only thread I found with 3rd brake light issues. I have NOT put my wing on and I'm getting check 3rd brake light and the rear wing operation fault/failure. Weird cause wing works as designed when u hit speed and when I push manual button it goes up and down. Yet light comes on. And brake lights DON'T work whenever I raise manual so I have to get out as jiggle the harness in front of right rear brake light. Driving me nuts!!!! Waiting to install my wing until this is fixed. Hate to add insult to injury and really F something up. Any advice or similar issues????

Viger,
Saw your other post in the other thread, too. This unfortunately is a different issue - your current harness likely has a loose connection. Comes down to electrical troubleshooting rather than what is discussed in this thread which is more getting the correct harness for a fixed wing etc.
If you are really handy with a multimeter, you might be able to isolate which wire or connector is faulty. Otherwise it would be up to dealer or Indy - and they might just tell you to replace the whole harness (depending if it's on the spoiler side or the harness connecting to the spoiler... - certainly don't know how much that would cost.
Good luck.
