Some cars have tire pressure sensors that display the reading on the dash. Mine does not. I know that it would need the sensors but not sure what else would need to be done to work.
if youre talking wiring, programming, etc then i would say: anything can be done...for a price. most likely a lot of labor involved to properly wire it, etc.
point is, i'm sure it can be done, but why? not worth it, IMO. buy a good gauge, be diligent and be done with it.

I second that ^^! I'd give you my system if I could. It's a pita!

To replicate the OEM system you would need 4 transmitters for the tires plus 4 receivers in each wheel well and all the wiring and dashboard interface - would be very costly if it could even be done. Check the Tirerack website (or Google) - I'm sure there are other aftermarket TPM systems out there but the interface is going to be pretty kludgy.

Here is one that has been recommended by others. I just ordered one myself.

I always felt that the TPMS was just unecessary fancy gadgetry (compared to a $20 manual gauge) but this past weekend, I got a flat doing 25MPH on an entrance ramp to a bridge. The TPMS warning "flat tire" went off and I think saved me a rim and possibly much more considering I was about to speed up to 65mph. The tire actually looked normally inflated for another hundred feet, to where it was safe to pull over. Would I have noticed the flat soon after anyway? Yeah. But considering the external noise these cars generate at high speeds, I think a formal warning is helpful.
P.S., the US Govt made TPMS mandatory in 2007 so maybe they're on to something... for a change!

Google it. There are dozens of after market systems available that will monitor tire pressure on cars not originally equiped with the sytems. Systems are typically all wireless so only need power for the head unit. I got 284,000 hits just now on Google on the subject. One system simply replaces the caps on your stems and sends the presure reading to a unit inside the car. Evidently this is not rocket science.
