i don't even have my bass up that loud.

is it covered under the warranty?

my 07 car is still under CPO.

if not, can i replace it with after market speakers ?

i've read somewhere that Porsche wiring is 'particular'..

carlitos, I'll let you know today. my car is currently in the shop for a blown speaker(s) as well. no bose here, and I don't crank up the volume either. I heard static noises coming from my speakers last week with PCM OFF and now, the bass in my car is completely gone. (the radio/CD/still works fine though...)

When did you buy your car? If you bought it after August 2008 then you'll have the newer, more comprehensive CPO. If so it's covered since it's a total bumper to bumper. If you bought it before that point then good luck because electronics were one of the items excluded from the old CPO.

Carlitos,

Just got back from Rusnak. it's my amplifier. They checked the speakers and the fuse. Several of my speakers are not responding, but the speakers themselves are fine, so they narrowed problem down to the amp. Gonna be replaced under warranty (they have to order one for me).

My car is CPOd and Porsche replaced my "blown" passenger side Bose speaker soon after I got the car last year. It went bad again, and now my service writer thinks it's the amplifier, not the speaker.

I'll have it looked at again. It's likely the amp or wiring.

This may not help you as much as you want, but I will offer this when referring to the Porsche wiring being very tricky.

I took my Cayenne to my custom audio guy when I wanted a stereo upgrade, and he put in a new amp and sub for me as well as replaced the speakers with aftermarket speakers. I remember when I went to pick it up, he had this look of incredible relief on his face. He told me to remind him not to do a Porsche again because of how crazy the wiring was! That being said, he did a great job, and the stereo was much better than the stock system.
