I use a battery tender when storing my car during the winter months. During the warmer months I get to drive my car every week on the weekends so the tender is not needed then.

Mine's plugged in when not being driven. On a side note, I once had an Audi that kept throwing CEL's that no one could figure out. We eventually replaced the battery for unrelated reasons and the CEL's went away. Go figure.......

Black and Decker battery tender

Home Depot has battery tender by Black and Decker for $19.95.. Comes with all the adaptors too--aligator clips, cigarette lighter plug, and a permanent battery attachment.

I have installed some products from a company called Powerlet in some of my cars, including my 911, which facilitates attachment of the battery tender. I plug the tender in in my front trunk. These products are mostly targeted at motorcycle owners, but they work perfectly well for cars! I got the idea after installing them on my previous motorcycles...

I put my car on the CTEK tender almost every time I park it up. (Haven't been driving much except the weekends) I figure it sits right next to the car and is easy enough to plug in the cigarette adapter.

I know my 360 was very sensitive to battery voltage so maybe that's where my fear/logic comes from. Simply insurance to know the battery is in peak shape all the time.

I use the porsche one that plugs into the cigarette lighter and I use it every time I park the car

Before I got it I replaced my battery 2 times. Since I got it I've had zero issues

It's great
