Facelift and new shoes for my 997.1 C2

After perusing the various threads and seeing all of your guys' sick Porsches, the modification bug finally got me again. I had already added new suspension, exhaust and software but more had to be done. A small crack in my front bumper cover was the perfect excuse to try something different. Instead of going plain jane with a new OEM C2 front, I decided to go with a Porsche Turbo front end that I located with all the lights as well as a few extras; a SpeedArt front lip and TechArt LED DRLs. After buying the bumper (more than a year ago!) I had many months of trepidation from reading comments about how difficult and challenging the electronics of LED blinkers and the DRLs could be. In the end, my boys at Audiomobile in Oakland got everything connected and working without triggering one warning lamp - LEDs included. I even had them add HIDs to the fogs to ensure that I wouldn't fry any of the wiring due to the voltage mismatch between the 35W OEM C2 fogs vs the 55W Turbo fogs. HIDs are low voltage so no worries now. At the end of the day, the front end turned out great. I know a lot of you guys replaced your front ends as well and I'm here to confirm that a Turbo front end is definitely another option.

I also added some new 20" Work Brombacher wheels to replace my 20" Techart Formula GTS wheels. I love the TAs but I thought it was time for a change. Fellow 6-speeder, Alex Lee, hooked me up and I couldn't be happier. The Works have perfect fitment and look great.

Good or bad, let me know what you think. Also, if anyone else is interested in doing this, feel free to ask any questions. Thanks!

+1. Good eye. Other than that, looks nice. Needs some side skirts like justatoy and a few others have suggested to finish the look!

Thanks Stacy. That black beast you are cruising ain't too shabby either. Especially with those new DPEs. Those are so sick I nearly vomited when I saw them on your car!

Very sharp eye! Actually, although it looks that way, the fender liner is indeed as tight and stable as stock. The Turbo front end is wider at the bottom, because of the foglight inserts, but our stock fender liner isn't as wide. Although it looks like it's not hooked on, it's definitely tight!

My car is Seal Grey, which is more like a dark silver.

The TA LEDs are daytime running lamps. The turbo LEDs are only blinkers. The DRLs make the car look a liitle newer, plus they look pretty cool IMO.
