quick review of 997 GTS

hi guys

my wife collected the GTS yesterday and was enjoying the moment she crank the engine... she likes it alot... the only downside is the sport exhaust isnt as nice(bassy) as after market ones.... quite dissapointing.

now for my review. when i got hm, i took the car for a slow drive for about 40km mainly on highway... frist impression the steering is heavy compared to 997.1 S. not in a bad way tho. i like heavy steering weight feel. for suspension wise, its a tad firmer too but roads here are great and smooth.

havent had a chance to drive fast as i want to run in this baby... will update when its fully run in.

also some questions who have collected thier GTS PDK.

when you put to reverse when fully stop, is there a clunk sound?

also when car has shut down, will the fan turn on after like a 20sec lapse?

sorry new to this GTS. so not too sure if these are normal...

hi guys

now for a slightly longer review.

the car handles very nicely on street, after the 3rd time driving it. it really flows very well on the street, it absorbes the bump well with no spine jerking rebound. that only happens when u turn on the sport sus.

when you drive it quick it still handles well, but when u drive it fast.... you really need to on the sport sus button. im not sure if its me or im still not used to rwd... w/o the sport sus on, the front juz cant seem tofollow thru, it seems to be like everywhere...

still learning how to drive rwd...

btw the gas milage is good for something so sporty... im impressed!!!!

Hopefully, at the very least, a 997 Turbo!

Better than me. My DD is a beatup Honda minivan (need this for the kid's activities though, I'll never bring any of the Porsches anywhere close to a soccer mom's car) and she's got the pick between a Cayenne and the TTS everyday.
