New Wheels and Oil sensor question..

Just had my 2010 997.2 serviced and twice since I've gotten it back the "check oil level'' message has displayed. When I run the level check it looks like it's too full. Has anyone experienced this before? Should I take some oil out?
oh- just got new wheels with a nice black powder coat- what do you think?
I have 4-19 inch factory chrome wheels if anyone is interested..
thx

Those look nice. What are they? Are you running spacers with those?

they're a custom wheel made here in Newport by Gran Prix tire- the guy has a CNC machine shop, spins 'em himself. Big difference over the OEM's
no spacers.

I drove my car for a few days and all was good with the extra oil

I have had the standard "dealer overfill" several times over the past 5 years w/o incident but I have NEVER gotten a warning light for the a minor overfill (.1 motor). I'd call'em. As to how to drain it yourself you can drop the filter or pull and reinsert the oil plug (be fast). Do on a stone cold motor.
