Don't know the dimensions but you can get an approximation by looking at the pictures in posts #289 and #325.

 

My set came in on Saturday (DHL/USPS). As already stated they were a breeze to install. I had to use the resistor packs since my 997 is a very early build 2005 and evidently needs the resistive load to 'fool' the tail lamp sensing function. Without them (resistor packs) installed I got a 'tail light' error message.

Orange Tuning (ie. Frank) is great regarding customer service. Answers emails almost instantaneously. Pleasure to work with.

From my memory, I don't think the box is no more than 3ft long by 2 ft wide. Hope that helps.

 

The shipping box was 27X20X6.

 

That's why I love car forums, where people will got out of their way to answer your questions. I can picture it now, a member has a question regarding size and a few people quickly grab their measuring tape and get the right size so they can answer the question.

Installed my lights this morning. Very quick & simple and they look great.

BUT I have a question - I did not install the extra resistors and have had no issues with regard to error messages. HOWEVER, the light assemblies include a spare set of wires that would connect to the spare resistors. What have you all done with that lead? Have you just capped it off or left it loose / uncapped?

 

I must have missed it while glancing through this thread. But did anybody get the other two variations, one is red and one is smoke? How do they look? Are the brightness affected by the color?

You might want to put some electrical tape over them to prevent any moisture that might cause a malfunction. I would also tie wrap them to an adjacent harness so they're secure. Since there is no moisture seal around the lights whenever your wash your car or it's driven in rain, water can & will get into the tail light cavity. You'll notice when you drive away after washing your car a water trail from the tail lights. I believe there are also some drain holes in the tail light cavity to handle water.

On the other hand you can probably just leave them alone and you'll be just fine.

Thanks for the thoughts. I think I'll wrap 'em in electrical tape as suggested - better to be safe than sorry.

 

Received and installed my set this morning. Took all of five minutes. Did not use the extra resistor on my 2007 tt and had no problems.

I was impressed with the quality of the units - they are seriously close to OEM. The fit is perfect - looks really good.

Plus - Frank was a pleasure to do business with - his communications were quick and precise - and the package arrived in perfect condition.

Agreed on all counts! Did you tape off the extra wiring or did you leave them loose?

 

I left them loose, I wasn't sure if I needed the resistors. I may go back and put some tape over the plug - but it sure was dry as a bone back there.
