EDIT: Wait, now I'm confused. I googled a bit and the real 997.2 lights are also a closed loop of LEDs. Where did I get the C-shape from? I swear I've seen it before somewhere...!
Actually, the OEM lights have the C-shape when the headlights are on, and then the full cluster comes on when the brakes are applied.

i just installed the new LED i got from Frank last night.. and i was happy cause the LED lights up in the 'C' shape just like OEM !
doh, just realized the c shape of the Detane is reverse of oem..

so the left side is ) shape rather than ( shape..

and its like that when the brake is applied.

try to capture it on camera but its too damn bright..lol

Yep, saw the link. Really thorough stuff. I'll have to send you another PM to get the contact info of your indy if I move forward with the front update. Just waiting to see if Dectane comes out with a front LED solution that looks close enough to OEM.

You do not need to touch the torx screws. Just loosen the middle.

I wonder if you could just change the wiring to get it to light up all the way around when you brake like on the OEM ones. I would think that if you just do some kind of splicing into the fog on the tail light it would cause them to light up with the brak light and therefore give you the full look of OEM

Installed Dectane LED lights

When I first saw the rottec LEDs I liked them, but when I saw this alternate version for the 997.1 Dectane with a lower price point and closer to an OEM look- I contacted orange tuning and ordered a set.

Attached are some before and after pics..
The new Carerra Classic 19s will be here tomorrow, I think i'll miss the Sport Designs a bit.

enjoy..

they look great on silver! the extra red and smaller clear indicator really stand out against the silver. great pics.

Hi guys, I'm going to order LEDs from Frank as soon as they are back from vacation. Can anyone give me approximate size of pack received from orange tuning pls?
