Got it!! 2009 C2S
Got it!! 2009 C2S
Well, the bug was biting...and I wanted GT silver...and I found the car I wanted in Annapolis, MD, so on 5/22 I drove my Carrera out for the swap on 5/23. 530 mile trip...and when I got there they were finishing off the service before I took delivery, so I got to see it on a lift. Unbelievable car! Here's a couple pics I took in the shop...needless to say, a great trip home.
It was a CPO car with 5000 miles on it. I looked it over, and the thing looks brand new. Here are the options:
Univ audio interface/bluetooth
Bose
DVD/CD changer (in dash)
black sports seats (manual adjustment) - crest in headrests...love these seats
GT silver
dynamic cornering lights
Sport chrono package plus
Navigation
heated seats
clear bra on front bumper cover
wheel spacers (7 mm RSS)
I liked the black on black, but I wanted a car with some color...GT silver does it for me, personally. And I can't tell you the difference in the brakes over the 2008 Carrera. HUGE difference.
A few things I noticed over the 2008:
Seems like they are using a new starter for this engine...seems like it does a better job...haven't read anything on this but I'm pretty sure.
The intake sound on this 3.8 DFI is fantastic...not changing anything with that.
The exhaust is a little tame but overall I'm happy with it, stock.
PASM seems like it was updated over 2008...fantastic.
I love the sport chrono - many useful features...
Love that it plays DVD's, nice feature.
The power difference is noticeable...
Love the refreshed front end and tail end...
This car is special...makes every drive fantastic...I might tint the back window, put in SS door guards, aluminum shifter, and I might be done with the mods...what an awesome car! I guess with all this I learned a lesson - if you're going to have a car payment, and you want a Porsche, make sure you get exactly what you want!
