DIY air filter change on 2005 997

Are there any detailed instructions on how to change an air filter on a 2005 997? Preferably with pictures. Thanks!

Look for justatoy on the forum i recently changed my intake and i got a full write up on it with pictures. I tried to look for the link but couldnt find it. Im sure justatoy wouldnt mind passing you the link.

Just do a quick search on a DIY. Your first time maybe a little tricky but it's easy after that. 30 min max.

I changed my air filter last week following this guide. I've got minimal mechanical skills and accomplished the task in less than thirty minutes. Dealer quoted $134.70 for the part and installation. I got my OEM filter at Arizona Parts Haus for $19.47.

No, the 997.2 has cylindrical filters that look like K&N intake filters. Removing them is really easy - remove the screws on the air box so you can remove the top half, then remove the single screw securing each filter - out they come! Had to take them out to put filter socks on them, see pic here of the filter element from one of my prior posts.

i don't think so it looks a bit dif, but may be someone correct if i'm wrong and add to this.
