This is my right rear. New rubber should be here Tuesday. Is it okay to drive on this in town over the weekend?

It depends if you consider yourself lucky, all it takes in one bad hole/nail/rock/glass/screw/roadside corpse/etc, etc, etc.....

 

I wouldn't sweat it if you're not hitting the highways. I've been on the track with worse, but then promptly pulled them off when I noticed. I've also been out with bare-metal brake pads (ie no material), and I survived.
Note to self - do a better job checking the car before heading out...

 

Should be possible of course. Be sure to get an alignment though. Besides the negative camber, excessive toe out can wear the inside of your rears excessively.

Hey, most fun you can have. The last few weeks before I replace rears is the time to slide through some corners or do donuts in a (empty) parking lot. Pretty crappy on wet streeets though.

 

Blow out, loss of control, wreck car, hit a tree, or maybe just blowout, wreck rim, pay lots of money for a new one. Not being a gambler myself, I'd leave it in the garage until the new tires came in. Then drive it to the dealer /installer with caution, to have them put installed. Why gamble on a tire in that condition ?
