Easy to do:
1-open the front trunk.
2-Remove the left side plastic panel (left to the battery).
3-Remove the plastic cover of the cabin filter.
4-Pull out the filter. Discard.
5-Re-install the new one.
6-Put everything back in place.
It takes some fumblings around to install the filter but it is really not difficult.

D.Kinsey the answer to your question:
The Parts Catalog (downloadable PDF file) is on the Porsche.Com website.
Got to "Personalization & Service" then "Porsche Service" then "Parts and Diagnostic Information" then "Porsche Original Parts Catalogue". You can then select the model you want to view.
jster the answer to your question: I don't know. However in the past I have ordered 2 filters for my Mercedes-Benz & 2 for my Land Rover. All 4 of them were the same as the OEM filter. They were made by Mann which is the OEM for Porsche cabin filters. Yesterday I ordered 2 more for the Benz & this time 2 for the Porsche. They have free shipping w/ any order over $50. I'll let you know the results in 3-5 days when they get here. The ETA is September 21st.

Update:
UPS delivered the cabin air filters today. 2 for the Porsche @ $16.53 each & 2 for the Benz @ $16.58 each (Benz dealer wanted $97.83 + 7% sales tax). Since the total was over $50 no shipping & no sales tax. The filter that came out of the Benz was identical (same #'s & lettering) to the new one but with 2 minor differences. No star on the side of the filter & the new one had an extra layer of a foam strip to make a better seal.
The Porsche cabin filter w/ activated charcoal came with a 5 pages instructions & photos (the Benz did too) & was identical to the one that the dealer installed in Nov. 2010. Both had printed on one side "Mann Filter adsotop CUK 3360 Made in Germany" along with down arrows on either side of the words "AIR FLOW". Both have 34 folds & the box has the # 997 571 21901 on one end.
