Third Radiator Install - Track Temp Results
Third Radiator Install - Track Temp Results
After driving Mid-Ohio in May with a high ambient of 62F and seeing oil temps of 270F I decided I needed to do something to get the temperature down. About a month ago I had a third radiator installed at Porsche of the Village. Dropped the car off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon.
Last weekend I was at Mid-Ohio with NNJR and the air temperature got into the 90's. The sessions were longer than those in May and I was driving the car harder. At the end of the weekend I never got over 250F. I'm chalking this mod up as a win.
On a side note a friend was running the same car as mine except he had PDK. He decided to quit when his car hit an oil temp over 270F. I believe he may be contemplating a third radiator kit.
Almost forgot, both cars water temps were pegged right on 175F. Imagine that.

If you have a 997.2 you will need this kit which is a bit more at $899. This is what I put on my car.
