That is hawt! Love that shot. Damn that is low. How 'bout the two different wheels. Those guys probably have more fun disguising the damn thing than driving it!

Does that mean that the cab would be interduced at the same time as the coupe?

I guess this car is comming with the mis-matched wheel option? Complete with 997 S wheels in the rear, and GT3 wheels in the front.

Seems like the 997 series will significantly shorten intervals between different iterations- look at all the GT3/Turbo/Turbo Cab mules on the track and road just months after the premier of the base 997. .
Could this mean a total run 2-3 years shorter than the 996 's 8 production model years ( '98 Euro C2 - '05 Turbo ) ?

I recall a statement a few years ago where a Porsche exec said their car range was pretty much " done " in product planning through model year 2009 - so can that mean a 998 as early as model year 2010 or 2011 ?

exciting to have the pics of the cab. like the 997TT coupe, the car looks really slammed to the ground which may be ala carrera gt.

i do think to remain competative, car makers are adjusting up the release dates for the all important market share. In our "buy it now" lifestyle, Porsche correctly has determined that demand for the new TT is there and i think more than a few of us would buy these in short order.

Now, what about the GT3 we have seen and its release relative to these? Still hoping for a US 997 GT2.

After we got production confirmation on some 996-Turbo S Cab. for the rest of this year, I can say that the NEW-Turbo coupe & cab. will not be interduced at the same time.

not at the same time but pretty close... acording to onlyporsche.net at least.....

http://www.onlyporsche.net/News/Pors...n-a-late-stage

"....Porsche is already in a late stage for its new upcoming 997 Turbo cabrio. If the 997 Turbo is to be expected at the end of this year, a good guess will be that the cabrio version will be out somewhere in the first quarter of 2006."

A little dissapointing to me... was hoping to get in a few years on my 997S Cab b4 upgrading.
