Painted Center Console Finally Here!

After months of waiting, my Porsche Racing Green painted center console from Bumperplugs finally arrived! Great contrasting color against the sand beige upholstery and red seatbelts.

Painted Center Consoles make such a huge difference, especially when they contrast with the interior color like yours. Congrats on a rather unique combination, I looks good.

Looks great! Is the center console hard to remove / replace? Is yours the original that you sent to Eric and he returned, or a brand new piece?

Nice looking. I agree that the green/tan contrast makes a very interesting combination.

It takes a lot of patience when it comes to removing the console. I managed to first search this forum on how to remove the console and learned from there. You also will need the proper tools to do the job, such as a car door panel removal tool set. They are made of durable, non-scratching plastic, torx bits, etc.

This was my second time removing my console. I first had to do it over a year ago when I replaced my ebrake and shift ****. So, removing the console the second time around was a breeze.

Oooops, I forgot to add that Eric sends you the painted console after you send him a paypal core deposit which is refundable, once you send him back your stock console for the exchange.

Ugh... I'm sold... time to bust out the Amex. My center console is messed up anyway from the seat belt socket rubbing against it. Seems like a good excuse to get it done.

Make sure that once you get your new console in, that you line the side of the seatbelt buckle receiver which will come in contact with the console with a felt fabric of some kind. Sounds like yours didn't come with it. My 2009 did. And it protects that console from scratches from the buckle receiver. The painted console, even though protected with a lacquer finish will scratch if you inadvertently rub anything sharp onto it.

Wicked nice! A very good choice... why though do you think it took so long to receive it?

Actually mine are felt lined! I'm not sure if it happened from the previous owner or I just never noticed it happening. I will take more extreme measures when I get the console done.
