98/108 is about 9%

Let me first say that I am very good at working with people and negotiating and there are about 10 dealerships within a 30 mile radius in LA, so my situation differs for yours. With that said, I think 9%, which isn't bad, isn't that great given the looming advent of the 991. I wouldn't budge for anything below 15% on a 2011, and I would walk away. Just wait a little. When the 991 gets announced, I am sure that dealerships will start to sweat a little or you will begin to drool over the 991. It is a win win situation for you, but that is just my opinion.

Also, the 93/98 deal is 5% discount. I'm not even going to touch on that.

Check TrueCar.com and NADA.com - they have invoice pricing on everything (although a few items were missing). Be careful because it let's you add overlapping options/packages. For instance, it'll let you add the infotainment package AND navigation simultaneously, even though the infotainment package already includes nav. And the pricing on at least one item is wrong - for instance, sport chrono costs more if you have PDK, but it doesn't adjust the price.

On average, the invoice price is about 15% less than MSRP for options.

Good luck.

On a separate note, the 991 is coming out soon. Is now a good time to buy a 997? I'm thinking 997 values (new and used) will plummet once the amazing 991 is unveiled. The 997 will turn into one of Cinderella's ugly stepsisters.

Yeah, a little harsh. Just a bit of advise to gasongasoff, probably not the best way to introduce yourself to the forums seeing that was your very first post. I'm going to take a stretch of a guess on this one but you probably don't own a 997.

Yeah, agree he probably doesn't own a 997. 911 styling is an acquire taste, before I drove one, I, like majority of the population thinks it's an ugly car. Now I think it's a beauty. Like the old saying goes, "You're baby will always be beautiful," or something along those lines.

Not that I'm buying these cars to save money, but how are the resale values on these c2s cars? Im having a hard time paying 100k for a brand new when i could get a lesser optioned at 15k less.

Margin is right around 10-11% on 2011s and there are no incentives currently. I'd say 9% is a very nice discount.
