Hello everyone,

Thinking about tinting my windows, but just can't decide if I think it would look good.
Wondering if anyone has a good picture of their white 997 with 35% tint on the windows.
Would also be interested in opinions/suggestions.

The darker, the better for looks. I went 20% on everything except drivers and passengers window. 25% on those for legalities. Use quality tint and if you are bothered by the black strip around the rear windows showing, you'll have to sand them down. I didn't and I think it is not that big of a deal. Others hate it. The car will be drastically cooler inside and your interior will not fade when used in conjunction with a windshield block or tinted front windshield. You'll love it. I've never owned a car without them.

25% is the darkest I can go here lawfully... not sure I want to go more than 35% for several reasons, one being visibility.

WOW!!! Looks great. Got an 08 C2S in White w/ Black Interior as well and looking to go 35%...... any pix? I had 35% on my Lapis Blue C4S which looked just right.....but would love to see them in white!

 

I have 35% on mine and a friend has 30%. There is definitely a noticeable difference.

My qualitative reaction to the 35% was "humm... the windows look tinted"
My qualitative reaction to the 30% was "ooo... I like the tint... a little darker would be perfect"

As for visibility in->out, I have not noticed any difficulty at night (im assuming this is your concern?).

If I could go lawfully lower in MA, I would have gone 25%.

I think white looks best with 20% tint. The cops will not notices, I've driven with at least 20% tint as long as I can remember. Never been stopped for tint. I currently have 15% on my Black 911. There isn't much difference from the inside, from the outside, it looks a bit darker.

 

I don't care for tinted windows at all!

 

Looks great! I wish I could get away with 5%. I used to when inspection stickers weren't as "high tech". Now everybody is so legal. What is the world coming too?

^^^PERFECT, thanks for the confirm. From that pic, the 20 vs 35 is barely noticeable and the commonwealth of VA i think is as restrictive as 50% front, anything rear for the most part.

Anyone have input on WHICH TINT to get? Apparently LA TINT is a good place in the VIRGINIA area.

Unfortunately some a-hole wasn't paying attention in traffic, didn't know our lane was stopped and slammed into the back of my car about 2 weeks ago. His impact pushed me into the car in front of me...
So, my 3-month old C4S is in the shop right now.

Looking forward to the pics from Spudz5 (want to see the pics with 35% on all windows) and any others that post, will be sure to post mine when I get the car back and get them tinted, hopefully later this week!!
