new Bilstein Damptronics droplinks, should I install them

hi
I have the damptronics on my MY07 C4S with H and R sways. As many people know, the Bilstein droplinks are somewhat weak and are prone to failure. Recently, Bilstein upgraded the droplinks and now there is a slight bend to it instead of being completely straight. I'm not sure in what other way are they upgraded. Anyway, the car seems to be handling fine, albeit with a few clunks here and there.

I'm wondering if others think I should install the new droplinks or leave it alone. Every time I seem to fool around with the suspension I get unintended consequences....

I bent the drop links on my Damptronics a month or so ago and they were kind enough to send me a new pair after I sent mine in for a post mortem. Between when they bent and when I received them though, I purchased a set from Tarret Engineering that are every way adjustable and made from billet aluminum, ie. very robust. They solved all of my then issues. Upon receiving the new Bilstein's, my mechanic commented how while the new bend would probably minimize some of the historical problems, it likely wouldn't solve them all. It had something to do with a mounting guide that needs (and can be) simply bent out of the way. So my new ones have gone into the parts bin where at some point I will collect enough stuff to build a new car............I will say on Bilstein's behalf that they were great to deal with, didn't have any obligation to do anything on my behalf and performed great customer service. Best,

I installed the Tarett links with boots when I added a set of Damptronics. You can adjust them to so you don't have any preload on the sway bars.
