Hello everyone. Just picked up my brand new C4S cabrio, trailing my wife by a couple of weeks after she grabbed herself a gorgeous Boxster Spyder. This prompted me to start missing having a ragtop of my own and started contemplating a swap from my beloved RS4 (thanks to everyone who responded to my thread a few weeks ago).

So far I'm loving the car. Today I had a set of Champion wheels custom painted and installed, as well as the Porsche Short Shifter (thanks again to those who responded to my thread on that question as well). Next week I'm getting them to install the PSE and possibly Sharkwerks centre muffler bypass pipes. Can't wait for that.

Anyway, just wanted to post a few pics showing off my newest ride. Hope the pics post properly. And thanks once again to everyone who helped me make my decision to move from the RS4... you were right, so far I'm not missing the Audi much at all.

hows the ride compared with Boxster Spyder?

 

Mine has PASM. Definitely softer especially in "Normal" mode. In "Sport" mode it's quite a bit tighter, but still doesn't quite feel as connected to the pavement as the Spyder. That's an incredible car, and my wife absolutely loves it, which is cool but is also part of the reason I decided to get my own Porsche... she always wants to drive!

There are quite a few differences between the two and how they feel, but I'm loving the extra power the C4S has, while the Spyder feels more balanced and alert. I definitely love how the 911 hunkers down and drives out of corners... can't get enough of that feeling! And it has more grip on the fast sweepers due to the AWD. But both are great cars... I feel very fortunate these days.

In Albert, don't you have bad winters? Having a convertible is pretty hard to drive. Unless you keep your Porsche in the garage over the winter. Very nice cars! Congrats. Tell me how it handles

 

Is the 3rd car at the extreme left the RS4? I see it has the silver mirrors.

Yes, our winters are long and brutal. That just makes me appreciate and cherish the summers even more, and what better way to appreciate and take advantage of what little warmth we have than a convertible Porsche : )

My wife and I each have winter 4x4 vehicles as well... even though my 911 is AWD, the roads get rutted pretty deep up here and the stuff the put on the freeways in the winter is more gravel than sand... I'm not gonna subject my new toy to that kind of abuse. I hate seeing cars sit, but I hate road damage even more.

Yep, that's my RS4... it's gone now, sold in a flash. I hated to see it go, but every time I jump into the Porsche I feel better.

The garage was looking quite tasty with the three of them in there!
