REDUCED ENGINE POWER warning light...
This was a timely thread for me. I read this last night, took my car to my dealer for an unrelated issue this morning and he mentioned the campaign for this issue and that I'll have to schedule a time to get my pump replaced. They quoted 4-5 hours for it, I'm under warranty so no worries other than a little time out of my day. I'll try to squeeze the install of my new bumper grilles into this service and save some time.
24 hrs after initial WARNING light and HPFP replacement. Not sure if I feel good with inspired confidence or uneasy, Ijsut completed a 500 mile round trip to Key West last weekend and this issue would have been MUCH MUCH more comlicated to happen at the Southernmost Point!
Yes, the drive home was fun, I definitely get the opp to open it up on the road...........
Way to go Max..Glad you can benefit by others "difficulties." I do think a service advisory bulletin fromPorschewouldbe beneficial, especially since it is widespread knowledge amongst svc techs. Fearnot, the fix is easy and, from what I hear, a one time event. Havent heard anyone having issue after correction.
Good luck Max...
