Did you have a CPO warranty or one of the other warranties, EasyCare or Fidelity? My factory warranty runs out in a couple of weeks and I have an appointment with the local P-car dealer to get an extended warranty tomorrow. Piece of mind is worth it. I've already been through the engine going south in another car and my having to replace it on my dime. Don't want to go there again.

drcbis is infamous around these parts
It was a CPO. I am wondering if I can get the option to purchase an extended warranty on the new engine?

If anyone else has had this happen - what engine did they put in your car? Was it the same year engine?

What does a motor run from the dealer? What about from an independent Porsche shop?

No idea how much it is for a replacement - but I will be happy to post when I get the car back and have a look at the paperwork....
