I guess you're never buying one huh? No more positive comments in the future?

You must have driven one, how do you know it has an "overall big-feeling"?? Or is this just your un-proven opinion/speculation
I would guess you do not know what a WB increase produces...

I think this is a pretty outstanding summary of the negatives I see compared to my paltry 05 C2S. Only possible improvement is less weight and more hp,but still not enough hp increase for a 'new' model.

I have mixed feelings on the car and can't know until I drive one .

I can see all these points (and even add a few) but I also feel that there has to be some areas of improvement . I am curious as to where. I can wait and see.

One might argue that even the current car (despite hints of retro style) lacks the air cooled , offset pedals , basic interior and has lost some of the simplicity found in the older cars.

I think that's what makes thse cars so fun . Each transition .. is growth (on a car which I view as an icon) .

jeez guys, get over it.
every time a new generation comes out, it´s the same over and over again.
people say: "Porsche is going down the wrong path, they are watering down the 911". why don`t u see the positive things and always argue with things that u think are negative? Things change and if don`t accept that u will always live in the past. for sure an air cooled angine sounds much nicer than a water cooled and things like PDCC or ventilated seats are not very hardcore but in the end things like these make the car faster, safer and more relaxing (and therefore more enjoyable in the end) than its predecessors.

It's my understanding, and I could be wrong because I'm wrong a lot, but DOT requirements beginning in the early 00's required all cars made in, or imported to, the U.S. to have LATCH anchors. The 997's had them easily accessible in the front but less so in the rear - but they were there. Do you mean, easier to get at rear LATCH anchors?

What I know is that I don't know what I think until I see and drive it. EVO got the closest and spent time in the passenger seat with the test cars and said it still 'felt small' despite the wheel base increase and despite more shoulder room. The electronic steering assist was, admittedly a concern, but they didn't get to test it. Otherwise, EVO...a huge fan of the 911...loved the 'evolution' of the 911. Car buyers are wanting more conveniences from Porsche and new EU regulations require some of the 'enhancements' we seen over the years. The 911 has come a long way from my '73, and so far I haven't been disappointed. I couldn't imagine driving that 73 everyday now!

This happens every time the next-gen comes out. e46 M3 to E92; 993 to 996 and now to the 991. Actually, I'm glad Porsche AG was listening during the 996 launch

Greg
