KW V3 differences?
KW V3 differences?
I am currently debating over which street CO kit I should get, PSS9 or the Bilstein Damptronics or KW V3 which I am currently leaning towards to.
KW site listed 3 part numbers for 07 C2S, 1 for non PASM and 2 for PASM cars.
My question is whether its the same spring/shock in the 3 different part numbers, just that the kits for PASM has an addition "Cancellation Kit" to plug into the PASM lines to fool the computer to think that the system is still there or are the PASM kits similar to the Bilstein Damptronics?

If the kits are all the same, I will just get the version without PASM and turn off PASM from the shop PIWIS computer to save some $.

I have Damptronics on my 09 CS2 and I'm pretty happy with them. I had planned to put a set of Sachs on but the kits were held up. With the Sachs kits you received an instruction set detailing how to disable PASM in PIWIS. I'm not sure what the KV kit is doing. However, it appears they may have made it compatible with PASM. It is interesting. Let us know what you find out.
I have tried both bilstein and kw's on my c4s and I can tell you that the kw is much better in terms of performance. They both ride the same for daily driving. The kw cost a tad more, but well worth in in my opinion. Hope that helps.
if you want to decrease amount of body roll - put on gt2 sway bars, front and rear. it will make car stiffer.
you also can take off stock pasm shocks and sent them to be re-valved for stiffer springs, but it escapes me why would you want stiffer springs for street driving as it will not improve car driving on a bumpy streets pavement.
in all honesty i think if you do not track your car - you do not need any alterations to stock pasm system at all. use what you got.

Do you know the size of GT2 sway bars? Would I need different end-links to fit on my C2S? How are they different from GT3 sways?
The most popular sways on here appear to be GT3, RSS and TPC. Sways are used to fine tune your roll stiffness. I'll ask my tech about the GT3/GT2 delta.

I've had the KW Variant 3 COs for several years now and have been very pleased with them.
I had a chance to ride in a .1 GT3-RS last weekend and I was blown away on how much better it handled than my car (the car has almsot no weight transfer at all). A C2S will probably never handle like a RS but I will try to make it as good as possible and sways and CO should be a good start.
mkatkins, do you know if your V3 is the "Without PASM type" or "With PASM" which has a big resistor to plug into each harness?
