correct, negligible w/ the caveat... depends on total surface area of weave. If you live in a very warm climate, you'll want to stick w/ something fairly open... say at least 85-90% open to minimize any negative impact on cooling. Particularly if your driving doesn't provide sufficient airflow - i.e. urban / much stop & go. In a cooler climate you could go w/ a tighter weave but in total I'd be hesitant going w/ anything that could block more than 30-35% of the opening (unless you live in AK...).

Good luck

Wouldn't the limiting factor be the amount of air the radiators are capable of passing? The area fraction of the radiator openings has to be quite a bit less than the openings in the bumper.

I just ordered the front set, 3 grills, for my '10 997 C4S in black directly from Zunsport. Ended up at $332.39 delivered using the discount code they provided for 15% off after I emailed them about their product. I will post pictures of the install when I receive them, but expect it to be as others have described with not having to remove the front bumper. I had to replace a AC condenser on another car that had the condenser in the open like the 997 and it was $1,100. So for me this is a no brainer.
