Insurance suggestions?

Wondering if anyone has had a large claim on their new 911 and had a good outcome with the insurance company.

Every insurance company will gladly take your payment, but not all are created equal when it comes to actually taking care of a claim.

I'm not looking for the cheapest insurance, I want an insurance company that can deal with fixing a $100k+ car if it's actually damaged and not treat it like a Ford Taurus... Also, I would like to have 1 person who takes care of my claim that I can go see and/or harass if things aren't going well. Maybe I am asking too much, lol.

Go with AMICA. I've been with them for auto & homeowners since 1975 & my Dad has been with them since 1946. I have never had to make a claim on a Porsche but I have on several other makes. They have always been great & the body shops have always spoken positive about the claim/repair service.

RED HORSE is infamous around these parts
USAA since the beginning. They covered repairs without any problems with OEM parts and shop of my choice twice on my 996, once when I hit a deer and once when I was rear ended at a stoplight.

Chubb, Chartis & ACE are all VIP insurance companies that cater to high end cars. I am in the biz and would recommend them.

Allstate.... Been with them for over 20 years. They always been great with both home and auto claims. $100 a month is all my 2006 c2 added to my policy!

My Gallardo is cheaper to insure than that from State Farm. $1k deductible.

I have USAA. Their service is top-notch. I went with Geico for a few years on one of my other cars, and I was disappointed when I had to make a claim. They fixed it marginally, but were looking to save money and cut corners. USAA is super easy and everything is first class. Are you eligible for USAA?

Thanks for all of the replies!

I am not eligible for USAA, but thank you for the suggestion.

I refuse to use State Farm and, based on personal experience, recommend anyone RUN AWAY from them.

I appreciate the AMICA suggestion, but the poster who had a problem with AMICA screwing him over sounds eerily similar to an experience I had with State Farm, so... it makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it, lol.

Will have to check out ACE and Chartis. Knew about Chubb and was hoping their coverage is as good as it sounds.

Don't know anyone with All State, but am concerned about them being too similar to other large companies (i.e. Not a single person who can be held accountable for handling your claim. State Farm has a "local agent" but that person has no role in/power to control your claim... basically just someone who sits in the office and smiles. The "claim team" idea is a f'ing joke, as it it allows them to pass you around from adjuster to adjuster at will, with you having ZERO ability to actually talk to the people who are making decisions and no ability to pin one person down and make them answer your questions).
