I have the Porsche dual-mode battery changer, works like a charm.

Do you guys plug it into the 12v or the cig lighter? Or is it all the same

Cig lighter as well.
Since I plug it in every time that I leave the car in the garage, it would be too much hassle to plug it to the battery.

Battery Tender, been using them for years on motorcycle's, cars, and back up generators. Never had a problem with any of them (have 3). Good quality at a respectable price.

CTEK is what I use with no problems what so ever. Primary difference is they do not reset themselves if the power goes out a like the less sofisticated always on chargers. If you plan on leaving your car on a tender unattended the CTEK isn't for you.
