Wrong forum! Few here, know or care about Cayenne.

If I was ordering a Cayenne, I would spec it minimally. Who needs side skirts in a SUV?

Haha, wow. Don't hate on Cayennes, guys. I had one as a loaner and it is a fine SUV. Sure, he's in the wrong section but it's not like he's posting about pimping out his Scion.

I love it when people display their ignorance by belittling the Cayenne owners. MSCHW, I hope you meant it as a joke.

I agree with Adias. I would not waste $$ on sideskirts or stainless steel skidplates.

At least it was a Porsche. Give him a break, it was not long ago that water-cooled 911's were ridiculed.

At a PCNA driving event at Portland International Raceway last weekend, drove a Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo around the track following a lead car and I can tell you no other SUV does that kind of stuff. The Turbo is insane, could not even get myself to put the pedal to the floor.
The hot lap as a passenger while the Porsche Sport Driving School Instructor was playing with his counterpart in a Panamera was defying logic in my experience.
My driving ability was definitely exceeded by the Cayenne's capabilities.
That said the 911 connection is an emotional one starting in childhood for me like so many others here. I love my GTS.

If I were buying a vehicle new, and its an option I wanted, and it was 3 months delayed, I'd just wait 3 months for the car and push out delivery.

I agree with Minok. If that is the exact car you want, I would wait the 3 months. Should put you in it sometime in January? Wait and get what you want, otherwise you possibly might be wishing you did down the road.

Either way, congrats on your new car. Post pixs once you get it.

And forget about the dopes up above at the start of this thread. Rude as hell
