Decisions Decisions..

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to purchase a p-car between now and march/april.. So far I have driven a 2001 Turbo, 2005 C2s, and loved the C2S, I think more than the turbo.. The reason being is I felt the C2S had nicer "bark" in the exhaust note, and ofcourse lights/interior etc...More of a sporty fun car feel vs, "I'm gonna kill you if you don't slow down" feel.

My price range is 45-50k, so what would you feel the best decision is?

Im looking to have a car for a daily driver in the nice weather.. So April till Oct/Nov. Also I'm not the type to flip cars every few years so this would be my first and a keeper....

I found a 07 C2s with 25k miles for 50k.. Its a CPO still has some warranty.

Do you think I'm making the right choice? I feel the 997 Turbo's are out of my price range and 996TT's are too old for 50k(too many people beat on them)....

Sorry for the long note, just needed to vent..

Thanks,

Lots of threads on this. I was (Sort of) in the same spot and am looking for a 997.1S

Lots the TT torque but not enough to make me ignore the interior.

Personally, I'd go with a 997 C2S over a 996TT. No turbo lag, not that much slower, RWD feels lighter, interior is better, and you can get PASM. But with a 996, even the base C2 isn't too shabby (especially 2002 or later), and you might also consider the 2004 40th anniversary model.

I agree that a fun car needs to induce some fear.
