DE Video Schattenbaum NJMP 11-4-11
Video of run session from this weekends DE on the Thunderbolt course.
Voice you hear is the driving coach I work with. He did two sessions with me a day and I did three session alone.
Best money I ever spent on the car.

I have posted a couple of other vids there that may be of interest.

Saturday turned out to be a great day. I don't remember seeing you out there but we were out in my fathers old 986 (Blue/white group) sliding and squealing all day. He needed new tires before next season and we figured we'd give the old set a final send off with Schattenbaums last DE this year. They're now officially toast! The bad tires plus a slow car to begin with did not make for fast times and I think we only passed one person all day. Still had a blast though as always.
I forgot my GoPro, but It would had made for some fun video.
You certainly had a close call with that 987! Whew. We followed that car into NJMP that morning too, I remember the red wheels.

Yes...the whole weekend was great. Sad to see the season end.
The near miss was pretty hairy...I haven't posted the video here but if people check out the above video they can find it easy enough.
best for a good winter

I've gotten to a little over 130 at turn 1 on the front straight shifting into 5th and 110 into turn 4 on the backstretch.
my buddies in gt3's can get to 145 into turn 1 and hardly need to shift to 5th

Nice vid. That blue beemer in front of you in R1 was all over the place, good job not letting it affect your game. Looks like you had pretty good speed going on R3... Very smooth.
That near miss with the bxter was scary. Hopefully, the other car/driver did as good as you did. Looks like he learned that letting faster cars pass might be a good idea next time. In my experience there is nothing more dangerous - for both cars - on the track than a slower car trying to keep up with a faster car that is behind it.
I can't wait til next spring,
T.

T...you are so correct about the passing.
The other driver was OK also. (I spoke to him after but dont wish to share what his thoughts were here.)
