Dash Command?
Dash Command?
Anyone out there using the dashcommand iPhone app? Which OBD-II port interface device works best?
Looks like it might be a cheaper alternative than the durametrics cable, although probably less functional.
BTW I just tried out the CMS lap timer app during a track day and it worked well.
Thanks in advance.

Here is the link, in case nobody has heard of it. Looks interesting but I would like to hear how well it works before trying it. Maybe I will have to be the guinea pig.

i have the OT-2 from Innovate Motorsports and it works fine with dash command. It also has a free app called LogWorks made specially for the OT-2
It's allways on my glove box so if i have a CEL i can check it quickly without the need of connecting the durametric cable to a PC
So... It might be usefull someday but for now i only use it for fun. It's cool to see rpm's and other stuff on the iPhone.

I have the GoPoint BT1 (wireless BlueTooth OBDII plugin device) and Dash Command. Have go it to sync and it records a track session fine.
It didn't deliver all the data I'd hoped it would straight out of the box...
I'd hoped it would "know" all the MAF, Lambda parameters since it reads your VIN... but no such luck.
So now I am trying to figure out these parameters... MAF PID and MAP PID and LAMBDA PID anyone??!
Also, it said no error codes, when in fact there was a bunch of little ones stemming from a somewhat common "c127 Communication Front Control Module."
So, it has been interesting but not excellent... granted I have to do more homework.

After a bit more homework, I found I simply needed to read the instructions
Here is the link to setup Dashcommand: http://www.palmerperformance.com/downloads.php
