Anybody Used the OT-2 with 996tt?
Wonder if anyone has used this iPhone device/app and what data points it will display (like afr, timing, etc) for our cars. Looks pretty interesting!

Here is an email I have had with a company in the USA on the same subject. I have opted for the non WIFI cable (GoPoint GL1) for the moment and it is being shipped over to me, so I have not had time to test it.
Hope this helps

Dear support.
I am trying to acertain if your sotware will read O2 sensor reading from
the Kiwi Wifi.
I have a porsche 996 turbo which does datalog and record O2 sensor
readings from the Lamda sensors on the car. If you read the email below, the Kiwi Wifi should read these detaila, but I am trying to find some software to display the AFR value on the iPhone platform
Many thanks
Gary
Hi Gary,
If the vehicle supports this data, and sends it over the OBD-II port,
DashCommand for iPhone will be able to read it with the Kiwi.
If you don't have a Kiwi yet, I would suggest getting something else. The
Kiwi is known for dropping connections often. I get more complaints about
the Kiwi than any other interface. I would suggest either the OBDLink WiFi
or the GoPoint GL1. If you've already got the Kiwi go ahead and try it
out, a lot of users use it without any problems.

Let me know what you think.

You will need the extra hardware to see the additional info like boost, afr etc. I just use it to clear codes and read extra info...

This is a great piece! We actually did a writeup for one not that long ago:

Correct, you have to use the piggback Lamda sensor, then the inline module for this. I got hold of the European Sales manager and they confirmed this when I was looking at the unit.
At the beginning of this thread you will see the other hardware and software I have found. Once I get the cable here in the UK from the US I will let everyone know if it logs AFR's etc.
I cant get hold of a Brockway, so this will my portable route to log engine data while on the move, as Durametrics is not on the iPhone platform yet...

As an update, I got the cable. I have just plugged it in for about 10 mins, and am using the http://www.palmerperformance.com/pro...mand/index.php software for the iPhone.
The software was £30, so about $50. Good news, it found all the fault codes, and displayed them the same as the Durametrics, and it does pick up the AFR value, and display your AFR Value, as an AFR value.
If you go here http://www.palmerperformance.com/downloads.php you can get the software for your PC.
Also on that page you will find the user setting and more importantly the CALC_PID reference table. Now reading into these if you look at the AFR table, it allows you to select the O2 sensor and which side.
When you first load the software then select the interface, it does automatically select the PID for you, but you can select alternatives if you need.
So, so far it look like a really nice piece of kit, I am using the GL1 cable, and once I get it all sorted out, I might buy the WIFI version from Palmer performance.
I have no affiliation with any of this, just someone that was looking for a Brockway and could not get one, so went in search for an alternative, and one that read AFR direct from the ECU. Do your own research before you buy I would say

I got the Torque app ($4.95) on a Droid with the kiwi blue tooth interface ($99.95)and a windsheild mount. If you program the smaller size gauges it vibrates too much to see. The digital and graph read outs are easier to read than the gauge read outs. Very easy to pick the OBDII read outs you want to monitor. Decend data logging depending on the size memory chip in your phone. Don't expect all OBD read outs to work since all cars don't supply the same information. I'm thinking of going to a 7" andriod based tablet with a more fixed mounting point (like the empty single din slot below the nav). The bluetooth version of the Kiwi seems to work better than the wifi version if you wire your phone to an always on fuse holder.
