Looks great.

I have heard these reduce the efficiency of the radiator more than one would expect....but probably less than a large rock would.

I found 2 frogs in mine last time I cleaned it out :-D

Looking into the grills. Thanks!

Good advice for sure, I always have so much junk hiding in my front bumper. I feel like one could screen off the bumpers themselves for quite a lot less if they've got the extra time on their hands.

Just ordered the Rennline set (black). When they arrive I'll have to judge whether this is a DIY project or if I should just bring it into the dealer for installation. I've found some DIY threads here and on Rennlist, just not sure if I can realistically do this one on my own.

Can the Zunsports also be easily removed- say for any debris that may get past the mesh?

I haven't done that, but they are an interference fit type of installation. So they should pop out with a slight flex of the ends. Quite a clever installation method actually.

I emailed Zunsport last night, this morning I had a reply along with a discount code since I mentioned the forum! I just placed my order. I was on the fence about these vs. other brands which do require bumper removal because at some point you still need to remove the bumper to thoroughly clean the radiators. I did this on my prior 996 and it was amazing all of the bugs and dirt that gets caught between the radiator/condensor and the small flutes that pass though them both! Granted these will protect larger debris, but I think the radiators will still collect the same amount of dirt along with a few bugs. The price was better on the Zunsport and at least you can remove them from the front if some debris does happen to accumulate, where the other brands you don't have that option.

What i dont like about the zun version is they look like they were just added on to the front. Kinda messes up the front look. They do the job they were intended to but looks bad. Something that looks like the gt3 original grilles would look so much better. I have a description of how to make grilles that look so much better and a lot cheaper and you can remove for cleaning. Only thing is you need to remove bumper for the initial installation. Its been on for 2 years and ive only removed a few times for the ones that got through.

I think they look much better on the 997.1 (C2 / C4) as they recess back more due to wider lower lip on the bumper vs. the 997.2 which has a larger area to cover and thinner lip...I think they integrate quite nicely for those with a 997.1- however I'm not a fan of the center grille (it sits too flush to the front) I don't have a center radiator so the Zunsport was a good choice for me having a black with black grilles. Just my $0.02.

I have my center (DIY) grille set back. I don't like the flush look either.

Just ordered a set of black outers through Zunsport. Just short of US$200.00, but a lot cheaper than replacing a radiator and being out of commission.

Here are pics of my car before and after my DIY grills ($30). The grill material is black even though the center looks gray in the pic. I have a center radiator.
