06 C2S Value
06 C2S Value
Looking to pull the trigger on my first Porsche (picture attached) but thought I would get some help from the board to see if I would be over paying.
Details:
Price: 47,500 (already down from 50K)
2006 C2S, Black/Black
Miles - 43,300
Options:
Sports Chrono
Bose Sound
Sport Exhaust
3 spoke wheel, multifunction
Pwr, heated seats
Metal Door sill Insignia
The Good (I assume):
- one owner local, offered by original Porsche dealership that sold the car
- All maintenance performed at dealership (have seen the records)
- Major Servicing completed last 90 days including spark plugs, air filter, fluids etc.
- New rear tires and front break pads (last 90 days)
- Driving the car is phenomenal, will buy a 911 question is this the right one.
Concerns/Questions:
- First and foremost is this a good price
- Inside has some wear, probably nothing a good detail would solve but more than i would expect.
- Quite a few rock chips on hood. I understand this is unavoidable and dealer is working on it now and has said once finished with hardly see any.
- Has different wheels ( I personally like the look, they appear to be 966 GT3 wheels). Not sure if this is good bad or indifferent with respect to price.
Thanks in advance for any advice. I have learned quite a bit just reading this message board.

I would not say that you would not be able to find something with lower miles, but this is not bad if you are impatient like i am.
I got my 2006 c2s in may with 35k miles, pasm and sport chrono, short shifter, stock lobster fork wheels and Certified Pre Owned (CPOd) for 53k.
Alot of people will tell you that this price is high. But in my experience, if you go out in the real world looking for a car, this price is quite decent.
I have my reservations about wheels that are not stock porsche, because i have a theory that all that porsche puts on the car, is there for a reason and the entire porsche package makes a difference. But again, that is only me and not many people think otherwise.
Very good price and the wheels look sporty and classy.
Perhaps you can get the dealer to provide an extended warranty? Maybe split the price of the warranty, if they balk at including it in the $47.5K price.

Sounds good to me!
I purchased my 06' C2S for $60K last year. Is it a bit much, maybe... I purchased the piece of mind in knowing the person that owned it and that it had never even seen rain. It stayed in the garage all winter while the owner lived in Florida. It still smells new - the gents from Provost Motorsports in NJ were shocked when they did the vehicle check-up. It had just north of 11k miles. It's all stock/factory with aerokit cup, sport seats, short shift, heated seats, Bose, sport chrono, grey belts, optioned steering wheel with on wheel controls.
The garage queen haters would be all over me. I've had it for a year now and the odometer just passed 13k

That is a pretty good price. I have a 06 C2S with 36K miles. I have been checking prices to see what I could get for it. Around 48K is what I had come up with so you are doing pretty well at that price.
Maybe get them down to 47. See if they have the original wheels laying around to throw in.
You will have a ball with that car!
Good luck.

decent price
You're in the ball park. I got mine for 48.4k No chrono, full leather, 33k, sport exhaust, wheels, 2 owners though, clean ppi.
Of course I had to fly to get it so add $350, plus 1500 miles and gas to drive it back, but it was 'the one' so it was worth it.
If this is 'the one' don't hesitate.
And if that's for CPO that is a great price.
