My new GTS hits the dealership!
Finally. I ordered it 9/6 and the build date was 10/24. Hit the dealership last Saturday. It's now scheduled to arrive in NM this Sunday, the 11th.

Thanks all. It's totally self-indulgent and over the top, but work has been a real p.i.t.a for the past year and the truth is I wanted something to hang out there to really look forward to. Some folks want a calming interior, but I wanted bright red to get me jazzed every time I get into the car, and to remind me of all the sacrifices I've had to make to be in a position to make a purchase like this.

I can relate to every word in this statement. My circumstances and motivations are similar. That's why, in addition to getting a 911S cab a few months ago, we also recently got a Cayman R. Talk about self-indulgent and over the top! When I look in the garage, I still can't believe what I'm seeing. But we only live once (as far as I can tell), we're not getting any younger (that I'm sure of), and why not enjoy these cars while we still can, if they offer such a sanctuary of pleasure?

Thanks Matt. I'm kind of a color guy- was hoping for pts pastel yellow with a two tone black and grey full leather interior. But by the time I decided to order, neither of these options were available. So I decided to go for a classic combo.
If the weather is decent this weekend I'll try to get some real life pics.
