I just took the Fabspeed Cold Air Intake out...it did not fit right under my new decklid. I know there has been a lot of debate about the Intakes, but I will attest, the Intake made the car louder and more responsive.

I already have the Fabspeed Maxpro Mufflers and tips. Which would you add as the next bolt on mod? IPD Plenum or 200 Cell Sport Cat? I want some of that throttle response back!

BTW....if you have either part the you want to sell used for an 06 C2, PM me!

200 cell cats. I've been very happy with the x-pipes from Fabspeed. Great added sound (to the MaxPro's), perhaps some added power in the mid-upper range, perhaps a bit loss of power in the low-end. Bio-based dynamometer only.

OKB is infamous around these parts
if you already have free flow mufflers, the free flow cat would add the most impovement after that. the exhaust is the best end to work on overall

Sports headers / 200 cell cats
Hard to feel any immediate improvement with the plenum
To optimize the hardware your bolting on you really need to modify the fueling and ignition timing
Iam looking into my final mod . 200 cell cats

I know I may come off as a little biased but cats over plenum all the way, the dynojet and/or butt dyno doesn't lie, you can feel AND see the difference. Did you contact us about your fitment issue with the intake? we install/sell and ship the same unit you took off daily without any issue, I think the intake is the best "bang for your buck mod you can do to the 996/997 non-turbo cars.

If you DO decide to go with cats I would suggest buying then new from us or an authorized dealer. if you do, you will get the Fabspeed lifetime warranty on the entire unit except for the HJS cats which carry a 2 year warranty. Buying used is a shot in the dark, cat's are not cheap to replace... call porsche they want $3000 for them for your car!

Shoot me a PM or email and I will see what I can do for you on the price, I like to help out my forum cohorts as much as possible.

Hey Dave - slight high jacking of thread however you may be able to answer this for me
Iam currently dealing with Joey

I understand the 3.8 L S has restrictive headers to limit overall BHP, so as not too approach the Gen 1 GT3 - Porsche marketing !!!
Iam really, only aware of the x51 headers and fabspeeds sports headers / cats combo.
Is there any other reputable company offering aftermarket headers and cats ?
Do the fabspeed combination headers flow as efficiently as the X51 headers?
What are the dimensions of the X51 headers ? I believe fabspeed are the same as oem ?

Dave,

In CA, neither 100 or 200s will pass smog. Is there a disadvantage to just put the 100's on? Whats the price difference? I already have the Maxflo Mufflers. What about sound with the mufflers?
