Grateful

Man am I grateful for this Forum!

As a few of you know my beautiful (to my eyes) BT 2010 C4S was hit a few days before Christmas while I was sitting at a stop sign by a Chevy Tahoe and sustained some significant damage to the rear end!

I was wrestling with where to take it and the dealer had given me their recommendation with a lot of positive comments and i did my own investigation but in the end, despite some reservations I had based on a few of my interactions with them, I was resigned to having them fix my car.

Then another member of this forum (Mark...MJSPorsche) takes the time to ask me where I was getting it fixed and recommended a new place I hadn't considered and It's there now and I couldn't be happier. They're as excited to have it as I am for them to fix it.

It's nice that complete strangers can feel enough empathy for someone that they take time out of their say to say "hey...here's an idea for you and let me know if i can help".

Thanks to Mark and 6speed for the big change they made for me and the help they provided!

Tom

Great to hear you're happy.

I know Mark from C and C and he is indeed a great guy. And a true Porsche enthusiast. You probable know him from there also.

I hope to see both of you at some of our JSR events this year.

Thumbs up

Tom,

Thank you for your comments. I view these forums as a rich resource for knowledge sharing and for helping one another when an issue arises. And new friendships surprisingly develop.

A significant accident causes initial damage. Having it repaired by an "average" collision facility causes permanent damage. These cars are too nice to let average be acceptable.

We should all have "outstanding" collision repair facilities on our cell phone contact list -- just in case.

Keep us posted as to the progress. Post a few photos of before, during and after.

Best regards,

Mark

Can you share the name of the facility so other NJ area owners (such as myself) can store the information in case of future need? TIA.

Best of luck with the repair.

indeed, this is a great place to learn, meet people that share the same interest (Porsche cars) Great place to work on typing and searching internet skills. Lots to be found in these forums about cars and general life of a car guy.

Extreamly fun place to be. I enjoy it daily.
