Can someone tell me if they know whats up with my car. At random my side mirrors will just do what they want. If i switch to the passenger side and move it around and then put he controller in the middle position the side mirror just moves all the way down? Now my screen just goes all black, double screen and then is normals or has lined going through it. Then i had issues with the trunk just popping open on its own. Is my computer system going to crap?

 

New car to you? passenger mirror can be set to tilt down as parking aid see manual. hood pops due to lousy key fob design watch how you hold it. got me on the screen. electrical problems have nothing to do w computer good luck

 

Kinda new due to me not every being around it and in afghanistan. I did not know the side mirror did that. Never did it before. The trunk thing was something going on with the car. When i took it to the dealer they said they had to clear some stuff or something like that. Not sure then it went away. I just think i need a new head unit for the stereo. My tuner said it was a pixel issue. Ok thanks for clearing that up. Computer has nothing to do with electrical.

 

Battery needs to be replaced

 

How old is your battery? I've read other threads that implied that when the battery is on it's last leg and the current isn't as stable, it wreaks havoc on the computer systems.

 

Yea i think this might be it... cause i think the guys at the shop jump started my car and BAM... i think they jacked a lot of crap up when doing that. Im going to get it replaced. Thanks guys.

Don't mess around, spend the extra few $ and get an OEM, they always sem better then the aftermarket ones.

A few times my radio seems to have turned itself on spontaneously.

 

looks like your front ECU (or PCM) is acting up. passenger window goes down when you have 'memory' option (with electrical seats) and put gear in reverse.

I would go to dealer or good shop with PIWIS, do not speak of jump starting car, i suspect it may have burned voltage regulator or something equally big related to power supply. but may be it is just a battery that does not take charge anymore and causes voltage peaks. who knows.

 

if tire sits higher than edge of a fender you got it too low for stock front arms to work properly, they are no longer at proper angle. you need either to get cup car upright/hubs for that or go with all adjustible arms and get steer-bump toe arms too (which should be custom adjusted at the shop). to keep thing normal distance from floor to fender endge should be 25.5-26" and you should have at least half inch or inch of a gap to fender if you look at your tire top from a side. yours does not seem to have it and it will affect ride negatively.

see attached photo. my car could be lowered half inch more in front but it is set to have 1" of a gap and it is at limit of where stock front control arms are still close to 90 degrees between them. front is at 26" from ground to fender, rear end sits half inch higher at 26.5". it is gt3 suspension, to go lower with car working properly you need cup car parts.

 

After 6 years I still pop the hood due to the fat keyfob. Info on mirror parking aid is on pg 60 in manual. I did inadvertently set that at one point. Battery sounds like it could be sad if you've been away. Hopefully all small stuff. Welcome home btw.
