Few questions for C4S owners (need answers before tomorrow)
Few questions for C4S owners (need answers before tomorrow)
Buying a 09 C4S cab with 34K miles/ 6 speed CPO.
Car is at Porsche Dealer in TN and I negotiated a sick deal. It is under Factory warranty till 03/2014 and CPO till 03/2016.
I am flying 800 miles to go and drive her back home on Saturday afternoon.
-How can I tell if clutch is good or bad? Feel test? Prev owner had 4 other C4S so I am sure he knew how to drive but doesnt mean anything.
- Is the clutch covered under regular warranty if it dies immediately after the car is delivered?
- Did the Blue HID lights come standard on C4S in 09 or was it an option?
- When I ask for DME scan, what am I looking for?
- What major services are due after the 34K mark?
Thank you all for your help.

They can e-mail you the DME. With a 6 speed manny, it is a MUST!!! Basically, when these engines are "over-revved" significantly, bad things happen, and when those types of things have occurred, warranty or not, Porsche won't cover it. Being CPO, there shouldn't be any over-revs on DME. So, dealer should have it already, get it, and then post on this forum. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here that will tell you what it means. It is the single most important piece of info for a manual transmission 911.
I appreciate it guys, I got the DME and had it analyzed by my porsche tech friends who said it was Ok, nothing alarming.
It reads as follow
Range 1: 1510
Range 2:111
Range 3: 16
Range 4: 0
Range 5: 0
Range 6: 0

Yeah! Like 67K. With CPO to 2016. Had a march 2010 In service date. Well optioned, no dings, scratches or nothing. Also comes with evolution intake in CF and Exhaust (Fabspeed)
I am picking it up tomorrow.
