i think there is no Porsche brand dilution happening whatsoever. i mean look at Bugatti or Lamborghini. they get financial or engineering help from Audi or VW if necessary, but they create cars on their own and both sell cars like crazy, cause they are that good!

Porsche has never had the money to take over anything. That's why they sought VW to help them with development of the Cayenne/Touareg platform.

 

Yes according to GTPorsche march issuse the merger is off. So is the baby boxster although they now may put a turbocharged 4 in the Boxster.
