talked to the advisor there. He said none of the panels were removed so there doesn't seem as if there was a collision. In his opinion the car was most likely the car was keyed and repainted.

 

Or hit and bondoed - too many unknowns.

 

I think you made the right choice. If a dealer can not CPO the car, I'd assume Porsche said no way if they fell the car might be a lemon. I purchased a .1s 2 months ago out of Chicago. Very clean with 21,000 6spd, sport exhaust, full leather, plus many more options to list and the car was CPO'd 6/100K. I paid less than $60K.

Dont sacrifice for less. Be patient and you will find a great car. All I'd say....if you want Satellite and bluetooth factory integrated, make sure you ask if it is already installed. I've been looking for a good solution but have not found it yet. However, not having the radio on, I'm enjoying the sport exhaust.

Interesting development: op got in touch with the seller and relayed all this info to him. Seller sent me this email:

I now have the auctio report in this car and it clearly shows paint work and frame damage - makes it obvious seller tried to take advantage of an out of state buyer

Makes sense now he tried to talk me out of a ppi and also advised against a fly and drive in favor of delivery

Btw seller is the auto port in largo

I never said a word about you, don't even know who you are. I was honest with the seller about why I had reservations about the car. I told him I posted on 6speed and was made aware of some things that made me nervous about the vehicle. I have no reason to say anything negative about you and appreciate the fact you took time to respond with your opinion. Would have sent a PM but don't have enough posts. First I've heard about an auction report and frame damage. How did the PPI not pick that up?

A car with such a pedigree would have brake me hard ! To me the carfax must be clean. This is a non negotiable condition.

 

The carfax is clean

 

At 19308 miles it notes the transmission was removed to complete repair, alternator/generator replaced, maintenance performed, flywheel/flexplate replaced, master clyinder replaced, clutch system bled, battery replaced, transmission checked, and intake manifold gasket replaced.
12/13/10
At 22553 miles , transmission removed again, driveshaft seal replaced, engine cleaned, front crankshaft oil seal replaced.

I should have wrote: All those repairs would have stopped me..

 

Autocheck shows frame damage....

 

I would not need more damage to look else where !!
